This Privacy Policy explains how Arc Memorial ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Taylor Blue Henne doing business as Arc Memorial, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Arc Memorial mobile application. By using Arc Memorial, you agree to the practices described here.
Information You Provide
When you create an account or use the app, we may collect:
- Name and email address (for account registration)
- Password (stored securely and encrypted)
- Information you enter when creating a memorial case (name of deceased, service preferences)
- Checklist items and service plan details you add to a case
Information Collected Automatically
- Device location — only when you grant permission, used to find nearby funeral homes and filter by distance
- Anonymous usage data — which profiles you view, filters you apply, and whether you complete the Find My Match quiz. Not linked to your identity.
- User actions — when you tap Call, Email, Website, or Request Info on a profile. We log the action, not the content.

- Power the Find My Match questionnaire
- Show funeral homes near your location when permission is granted
- Improve the app based on usage patterns
- Provide funeral homes with anonymous aggregate performance data
- Send important service updates or policy changes
- Comply with legal obligations
Arc Memorial is ad-free. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information. We share only in these limited cases:
Service Providers
- Supabase — database and authentication. Your account and case data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
- Anthropic — when you use the AI obituary writer, your input is processed by Anthropic's Claude API.
- Google Maps / Places API — used for map display and location features.
- Expo / React Native — the framework used to build and deliver the app.
Funeral Homes
When you tap "Request Info" and your device opens an email to a funeral home, that communication is between you and the funeral home. Arc Memorial does not store its contents.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect Arc Memorial and its users.
- We request foreground location only — never when the app is closed
- Location is used in real time to calculate distances — it is not stored on our servers
- You can revoke permission at any time: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Arc Memorial
- All other app features continue to work without location access
We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app and provide funeral homes with aggregate performance insights:
- Which funeral home profiles are viewed and how often
- Which search filters are used
- Whether the Find My Match quiz is completed
- Which contact actions are taken on profiles
This data is anonymous and aggregate — never linked to your name, email, or account.
- Account data — retained while your account is active
- Case and memorial data — retained until you delete it or your account
- Anonymous analytics — retained up to 24 months, then deleted
- Location data — not stored on our servers; used in real time only
When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Supabase Row Level Security — database access restricted by user identity
- Passwords hashed and never stored in plain text
- Regular security reviews
No transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Arc Memorial is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Opt-out — revoke location permission at any time in device settings
